RULES AND POLICIES

Bright Water Aquatics Association Policies

The Bright Water Aquatics Association oversees the Bright Water Breeze Swim Team. Membership on the team is open primarily to Bright Water residents between the ages of 4 and 18 as of June 1st of the given year. To reserve a position on the team, you must register during the open registration in March. Failure to register during this period or to make prior arrangements could result in your child being excluded if his/her age group fills.

An exception is made in the Bright Water residence requirements in age/sex groups that are not determined to be "full" by the Swim Team after residence registration. Outside swimmers will be asked to pay an additional $25 per family. Once an outside swimmer is accepted he/she will be treated the same as any other team member with the exception being that the swimmer may only use the pool during meets and practices
.

Bright Water Rules

  • Lake Matthews is a few steps away from the Bright Water pool. There is absolutely no swimming or wading in the lake.
  • The Gwinnett Swim League forbids the use of tobacco and alcohol by everyone at the swim meets.
  • No parent or other swimmer can enter the pool or touch a swimmer during a race. If there is a false start, do not try to stop the swimmer. Don’t touch racers at the starting blocks before an individual event or any of the relay members once they are on the starting block.
